Our office and the pergola are the heart of our community work, and it’s time to make spice them up! For this Saba DOET project, we’re turning our workspace into a lush, inviting sanctuary. We want to create a space where everyone feels inspired, whether they’re sitting under the pergola or stepping into the office.
We need a crew of "green thumbs" (and "willing-to-get-dirty thumbs") to help us plant, hang, and refresh our environment.
What Volunteers Will Be Doing
There’s a job for everyone, from heavy lifting to the finishing touches:
The Pergola Transformation: Installing climbing vines to create natural shade and a "living roof."
Office Oasis: Potting indoor-friendly plants to improve air quality and brighten up our desks and common areas.
Soil & Prep: Mixing compost, filling large planters, and ensuring every new plant has a healthy home.
The Finishing Touches: Setting up a simple irrigation routine and arranging the new greenery to make the space truly pop. And, placing a sun blocking tarp to prevent the sun from damaging us.
At the project we will have some sandwiches, fruit and drinks. When done we will have some room for even colder drinks and some games.
